At USVT, the main organisational entity with direct responsibilities in the field of quality is the Commission for Quality Assessment and Assurance (CEAC-U), established by decision of the Senate. The Commission is constituted in accordance with legal provisions, operates on the basis of its own regulations, and its current structure complies with legal provisions on quality assurance in education. CEAC-U reports to the Rector, who is directly responsible for the quality of education provided by USVT. The operational management of CEAC-U is ensured by a coordinator appointed by the Rector. CEAC-U has under its authority the Faculty-level Quality Assessment and Assurance Committees (CEAC-F). CEAC-F are led by a quality assurance officer (RAC-F) and include quality assurance officers from the teaching departments (RAC-D), quality assurance officers for study programmes (RAC-PS), and representatives of students and employers. These committees (CEAC-F) have responsibilities in the field of quality corresponding to the study programmes they manage.
CEAC implements the regulations and procedures specific to quality management, approved by the USVT Senate, at the level of organisational subdivisions. It manages the process of evaluating teaching staff and applies regulations on data collection and statistical interpretation (questionnaires, statistical forms, observation sheets, evaluation scales, etc.).
CEAC-U develops qualitative and quantitative benchmarking activities in relation to universities in the country and abroad for quality assessment and monitoring. The quality management system model at USVT is the European quality model proposed by the main bodies representing the European Higher Education Area (ENQA, EUA, EURASHE, etc.), focused on excellence in the educational process in its entirety.
The Department for Quality Management (DMC) was established within USVT, organised and functioning in accordance with the provisions of the National Education Law No. 1/2011, as amended and supplemented, the University Charter, the ISO 9001:2015 and SR ISO CEI 17025:2018 standards, and the university's internal regulations. The DMC operates on the basis of its own regulations in collaboration with CEAC-U for the implementation, planning, organisation and control of the quality management system at the level of each organisational subdivision of USVT. The Department for Quality Management is a structure specialised in the implementation and coordination of activities regulated by specific quality management documentation, supported by criteria, standards and performance indicators for quality assessment, in line with the quality strategy adopted by the Senate and the quality management system, implemented and certified in accordance with SR ISO 9001:2015.
