Admission calendar for the doctoral university studies cycle session 2025

Summer session

Autumn session:

To register for admission, candidates/authorized persons will submit the following documents:

A. In original:

1. Registration form (standard form);
2. Curriculum vitae in European format;
3. List of published scientific works (if applicable);
4. Master's graduation certificate for candidates who passed the dissertation exam in the 2024 – 2025 session;
5. Declaration on personal data processing;
6. Declaration on avoiding double funding;
7. Printed proof of payment of the registration fee for the admission competition, after payment in the account (with the mention, in payment details: “doctoral registration”):

The registration fee is 200 lei (employees and graduates of the 2025 promotion of USVT benefit from a 50% discount).

B. In original and photocopies of these for certification “in accordance with the original” at the time of registration:

birth certificate;

b. marriage certificate (only in case of name change due to marriage);

c. administrative document for name change (if applicable);

d. high school diploma;

e. bachelor's degree diploma (with relevant annexes if applicable: transcript, respectively diploma supplement);

f. master's degree diploma (with annexes, if applicable: transcript respectively diploma supplement);

g. ID card.

h. for candidates enrolled in doctoral programs taught in Romanian and who do not present the necessary study documents for registration, issued by educational institutions from Romania or abroad, taught in Romanian, an interview will be held in Romanian, which will be assessed with the grade admitted or rejected. Only candidates who obtain the grade admitted can register for the admission competition. Exceptionally, for candidates who have studied in an internationally circulating language or in a minority language, the certification of oral communication skills in Romanian is done with the high school diploma;

i. envelope file.

The completed file will be submitted to the IOSUD - USVT Secretariat.

The admission competition for the doctorate, regardless of the field, consists of two tests:

- written test based on a topic announced by the doctoral supervisor before the date of the admission competition;

- interview, during which the proposed research topic for the doctoral thesis is analyzed as well as how the funding for the research within the proposed topic for the doctoral thesis is ensured, the scientific concerns of the candidate, and their research skills.
