CEAC responsibilities

a) coordinates the implementation of quality assessment and assurance procedures and activities approved by the Senate, according to the following areas and criteria: 

a.1. Institutional capacity: resulting from internal organisation and available infrastructure, defined by the following criteria:

• • institutional, administrative and managerial structures;
  • material resources and optimisation of their use;
  • human resources and the institution's capacity to attract human resources from outside the institution and from outside the country, in accordance with the law. 

a.2. Educational effectiveness, which consists of mobilising resources in order to achieve the expected learning outcomes, as reflected in: the content of study programmes, learning outcomes, graduate employability and the financial activity of the organisation;

a.3. Quality management, which is reflected in the following criteria:

• • quality assurance strategies and procedures;
  • procedures for initiating, monitoring and periodically reviewing programmes and activities;
  • objective and transparent procedures for assessing learning outcomes, including by students;- procedures for the periodic evaluation of the quality of the teaching staff;
  • accessibility of resources appropriate for learning;
  • a systematically updated database on internal quality assurance;
  • transparency of information of public interest, including information on study programmes and the certificates, diplomas and qualifications offered;
  • the functionality of structures for ensuring the quality of education;
  • accuracy of reporting as required by applicable legislation. 

b) prepares and publishes an annual internal evaluation report on the quality of education at USAMVBT;

c) formulates proposals for improving the quality of education;

d) collaborates with the Quality Management Department (DMC) to implement, plan, organise and control the quality management system at the level of each organisational subdivision of USAMVBT;

e) develops activities to establish qualitative and quantitative benchmarks by comparison with other universities in the country and abroad for the purpose of quality assessment and monitoring;

f) manages the process of evaluating teaching staff and applies regulations on data collection and statistical interpretation (questionnaires, statistical forms, observation sheets, evaluation scales, etc.);

g) implements preventive measures against intellectual fraud by organising planned training on specific benchmarks;

h) in the event of proven intellectual fraud, manages the process of re-evaluating the teaching staff in question, in accordance with the regulations in force;

i) archives the documents resulting from the teacher evaluation process and makes them available to the persons entitled to them in accordance with the regulations in force;

j) cooperate with the DMC in developing the strategic plan and annual operational plan for quality assurance and in preparing periodic reports on the quality of education at the institutional level.
