The "Breeding and Seed Production of Cultivated Plants" Master's program has a dual mission: didactic and scientific research. It aims to train specialists capable of organizing and leading breeding programs for agricultural and horticultural species, coordinating specialized units for seed production, and actively participating in activities of control and certification of seed lots.

Upon graduation, alumni will be able to work in multidisciplinary breeding teams, in farms specializing in hybridization lots and seeds of a superior biological category, as well as within seed quality control inspectorates. The program ensures comprehensive training regarding the specific legislation for seed production and circulation, as well as the application of the newest biotechnologies in plant breeding.
