The Faculty of Management and Rural Tourism, part of the University of Life Sciences "King Michael I" in Timișoara, is an institution with a well-defined mission in training specialists in the fields of agribusiness, rural tourism, public catering, and applied economics in the agri-food sector. Established in 1996, the faculty has constantly developed in response to the specific needs of the labor market in the western part of the country and to current trends in sustainable development.


The Faculty of Management and Rural Tourism, part of the University of Life Sciences "King Michael I" in Timișoara, is an institution with a well-defined mission in training specialists in the fields of agribusiness, rural tourism, public catering, and applied economics in the agri-food sector. Established in 1996, the faculty has constantly developed in response to the specific needs of the labor market in the western part of the country and to current trends in sustainable development.
The study programs cover a wide range of disciplines: from agricultural management, rural development, agri-food economics, and marketing, to business administration in the field of tourism and hospitality. The curriculum is periodically updated to reflect the latest economic, social, and technological developments, and experienced faculty with national and international experience, along with industry specialists, are involved in the teaching process.

Projects carried out in partnership with universities and institutes from the country and abroad actively contribute to innovation in the fields of sustainable agriculture, bioeconomy, rural tourism, and public nutrition. International mobilities through the Erasmus+ programs open new perspectives for students, facilitating exchanges of experience, deepening knowledge in a multicultural context, and developing professional skills.
