The "Plant Protection" study program aims to train specialists capable of identifying and applying scientific, efficient, and sustainable solutions for controlling the diseases, pests, and weeds that affect agricultural crops. Graduates acquire a deep understanding of the relationships between plants and the biotic or abiotic factors that influence their health and productivity.

The curriculum is designed to integrate both fundamental knowledge in the agronomic field and specific competencies in phytoprotection, such as the recognition of pathogenic organisms, the use of biological and chemical control methods, and the application of modern monitoring and intervention technologies in plant protection. The program emphasizes the integrated use of protection methods, in accordance with the principles of sustainable agriculture.

Students are familiarized with aspects of plant biology, entomology, phytopathology, agrochemistry, toxicology, specific legislation, and risk management, preparing them to intervene professionally in the protection of agricultural ecosystems. Applied activities and practical internships in laboratories, farms, or partner institutions complete the theoretical training.
