Project "Increasing the impact of excellent research on innovation capacity and technological transfer within USAMVB Timișoara", funded by the National Research-Development and Innovation Plan for the period 2015-2020 (PNCDI III), Subprogram 1.2 – Institutional Performance – Institutional Development Projects – Excellence Funding Projects in RDI, PNCDI III code 6PFE implementation period December 2021 – June 2024 project manager: prof.dr. The general objective of the project is to strengthen the research infrastructure - the Institute for Biosecurity and Bioengineering Research, the capacity and competencies in research - innovation, so as to ensure participation in national and European programs, as well as the creation of an ecosystem in which the correlation in real terms between the demand and supply of research services is facilitated, ensuring the transfer of research results to the market.

The specific objectives:

Objective 1. Involvement of the ICBB of USAMVBT in strategic international research – innovation partnerships based on common principles, commitment, and reciprocity, to promote European values of RDI and create a global research and innovation space.

Objective 2. The Technology Transfer Center of USAMVB Timișoara – a platform for high-level technical assistance and scientific and technological services in the field of bioeconomy for the development of viable collaborations with partners from the public and private economic environment.

Objective 3. Strengthening the research innovation capacity of the ICBB within USAMVBT by developing (capacity) the human resource involved in RDI activities.

Objective 4. Increasing the national and international impact of scientific research within USAMVBT, by developing the material base and supporting the publication of research activity results.

The project's activities:

Activity 1. Developing the RDI capacity of the ICBB to ensure performance and visibility at the international level and increasing USAMVBT's participation in European programs

Activity 2. Integrating the ICBB into international research networks to ensure excellent research that develops and implements innovative solutions, new technologies as a global common response to emerging challenges

Activity 3. Increasing the degree of collaboration between the ICBB and the economic environment, ensuring the efficient use of existing RDI infrastructure, to respond to societal challenges and to develop the fields of SI at the national level.

Activity 4. Promoting RDI activities, aiming to provide viable solutions and services for society and the economy, as well as the uptake of research results by the economic environment

Activity 5. Developing an entrepreneurial culture, oriented towards innovation, mobilizing young people towards innovation and entrepreneurship, developing innovative start-ups

Activity 6. Stimulating teams of young researchers by integrating PhD students and young doctors into RDI activities.

Activity 7. Increasing performance within research teams through international collaborations

Activity 8. Attracting national and international research staff and increasing the degree of multidisciplinarity of research teams

Activity 9. Developing the material base and increasing the degree of utilization of equipment within the ICBB to stimulate the demand and supply of research and technological services

Activity 10. Supporting the publication of RDI activity results, with the aim of capitalizing on them in the form of products, services, and innovative technologies

Activity 11. Increasing the impact of RDI activities by maximizing the use of results from research and technological development activities, disseminating and capitalizing on them at the community level
