The general objective of the project was to strengthen the e-Learning center of the University of Life Sciences King Michael I of Romania in Timișoara.
In this regard, the specific objectives of the project aimed at: 1. Developing the e-Learning center through mechanisms supported by electronic platforms; 2. Increasing the quality of the teaching process by identifying and promoting the best educational solutions and teaching mechanisms supported by electronic platforms; 3. Ensuring a climate of respect for ethics and academic integrity by developing and applying mechanisms and practices of moral conduct at the level of USVT students.
The assumed activities were:
Activity 1.1: improving the e-learning platform to establish connections and virtual communication with similar universities in the country. This activity referred to the development of the e-learning platform, resulting in an upgraded and modernized platform that offers opportunities for establishing connections between teaching staff from our university and other universities through the organization of conferences, simultaneous courses, and exchange of experience. Educational activities were carried out, virtual, 5 simultaneous courses, training sessions, and exchange of experience aimed at integrating modern technologies and strategies into the educational process.
Activity 1.2: training teaching staff in the use of the e-learning platform. This activity aimed at improving the teaching staff regarding pedagogical training and the use of modern teaching methods. Three training and improvement sessions for teaching staff in the use of the upgraded platform were organized. 120 teaching staff benefited from these training sessions. In a constantly changing society, higher education must adapt its educational offer to support the new generations of students, continuously updating its objectives and learning resources to effectively enhance their skills and competencies.
Activity 2.1: adapting teaching and learning methods to the specifics of the period and students' expectations. This activity aimed to adapt learning methods and introduced, through the platform, modern, rich, substantial, and interactive learning solutions. This platform was updated with current teaching materials, ensuring independent learning and providing students with complete autonomy.
Activity A 2.2. Monitoring feedback received from students regarding the new teaching and learning methods introduced. The activity led to the creation of a monitoring questionnaire to evaluate various aspects of the e-learning platform and to obtain students' opinions on the quality of the services offered. Collecting this information helps us understand the needs and expectations of users to continuously improve the quality of the services provided. This activity aimed at organizing a workshop to present the results of the monitoring questionnaire and a training session for teaching staff who have not fully mastered the techniques for using the e-Learning platform.
Activity A.3.1. Developing mechanisms for applying moral and professional conduct norms at the level of USVT students.
The university conducts all its activities in accordance with the requirements of ethics and scientific and intellectual rigor. The activities of students respect ethical principles, essential for the training of future professionals.
Activity A.3.2. Training activities regarding the norms and rules for drafting scientific articles. Within this activity, the CDI prorectorate of USV Timișoara organized 6 seminars for undergraduate and master's students, aimed at holding students accountable for the honest presentation of their work and the proper citation of sources.
